Hello world!

Greetings Friends and welcome to my new website – what a great time of year to launch a new venture!

Spring is slowly springing here in the valleys below the Rocky Mountains, and March is in full swing with performances throughout the month – see the events page for where and when I’ll be playing. I’m delighted to be working with a host of great Colorado based musicians in the next few months, including some house concerts and theater shows with one of my favorite singers, Beth Gadbaw – formerly of the band Siucra. Beth will be joining fiddler Adam Agee, guitarist Jon Sousa and my dear bass playing husband Eric Thorin and I for some great shows in Longmont and in beautiful Steamboat Springs – the first of many! I’ll also be playing with the folk quartet, The Granias featuring Beth Gadbaw, Annie Sirotniak on guitar and Margot Krimmel on harp.

Teaching is going full pace, and I am really enjoying this chance to work with people as they explore the world of Irish fiddle. If you are interested in either regular fiddle lessons, or skype fiddle lessons, get in touch with me through the contact page, and I will get you more information on both of these learning opportunities.

I’m excited to announce a couple of exciting workshop opportunities also. On May 17th, 2014, I’ll be teaching a fiddle workshop at the Kirk of Bonnie Brae in Denver from 10:00 to 12:00. In June, I’m delighted to be traveling to the last State in the Union which I have yet to visit: Alaska! I’ll be teaching in Anchorage, at the Alaska Folk Arts Camp from June 9 – 13, 2014. More information on all these performances and camps is on the events page of this website. If you are interested in lessons or skype lessons if you live far away, you can find out more by getting in touch with me through the “contact” page on this site.

Last but not least, work on my album is about to crank up again after it slowed considerably after having a baby and then being displaced all of last fall because of the epic floods that hit our little town of Lyons. It was quite an eventful year! I’m really excited to get this long-in-the-making CD out to the world! I’ll keep you posted on progress. Thanks for checking in.
